White Turtlehead

This species thrives in part shade and medium to moist soil. Appreciates a layer of composted leaf mulch, particularly in sunny areas. Pinching back the stem ends is encouraged in spring to reduce mature plant height, especially if growing plants in strongly shaded areas where they are more likely to need some support. In optimum environments, however, staking is usually not required. Cut back dead plant material during the winter months. Attracts hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.
