Stiff Goldenrod

Stiff Goldenrod prefers full sun and dry to moist soil. This species has deep roots that allow it to compete well with native grasses. Can be weedy. May need to be divided every 2 to 3 years to control growth. Taller plants may need some support. Plants can be cut back mid-summer to create a shorter, fuller plant. Cut back plants in late winter. Attracts bees and butterflies.
