Nodding Wild Onion

Prefers full sun. This species is very drought tolerant; however, it is not able to withstand competition from more aggressive plant species. Best grown in rocky soils. All parts of the perennial have a mild, oniony scent. Plants benefit from being divided every third year or when 8-10 bulbs appear in the clump. Foliage persists past flowering into late summer before dying back. Attracts hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies.
