Fowl Manna Grass

This grass requires more moisture in sunny areas than when it is growing in the shade. Most vegetative growth occurs during the spring and early summer. This is a good species for wetland restorations. If desired, cut back last season's growth during the winter months. In a wetland setting, leaving the previous year's growth will not inhibit new growth. Attractive to livestock but not palatable to deer. Provides cover for wildlife.
