Phlox (Robert Poore)

Prefers medium moisture and full sun to part shade. Needs good air circulation (space well and thin out stems as needed to help combat potential powdery mildew problems. Avoid overhead watering. Appreciates a summer mulch which helps keep the root zone cool. Attracts bees, hummingbirds, butterflies and birds. The fragrant blossoms make nice cut flowers. Not attractive to deer. Can thrive in clay soil and under Black Walnut trees.
