Our Commitment to Inclusion

Louisville MSD is committed to the concept and practice of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action in all aspects of employment. MSD's management has prepared a written Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), which is also designed to satisfy MSD’s obligations under local and Federal law.

The purpose of MSD’s Affirmative Action Plan is to provide a set of specific and result-oriented procedures to which MSD commits itself to apply every good faith effort. The objective of those procedures and efforts is equal opportunity. MSD's Affirmative Action Plan includes an analysis of areas in which minority group members and women may be under-utilized. In areas where under-utilization has been identified, goals have been established, and good faith efforts shall be directed to correct the deficiencies.

MSD affirms its commitment, and pledges its full support, to equal employment opportunity (EEO) for all persons regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, marital status, physical disability, medical condition, age, status as a protected veteran.

Recognizing that equal opportunity can only be achieved through demonstrated leadership and aggressive implementation of a viable Affirmative Action Plan, our AAP sets forth specific affirmative action and equal employment opportunity responsibilities for all managers and supervisors. All managerial and supervisory level employees are expected to make every reasonable effort to carry out their AAP responsibilities in spirit, as well as in letter, to assure that equal opportunity is available to all. We further expect all employees to demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, all other employees, and to demonstrate commitment to MSD's equal opportunity and affirmative action objectives.
